Parker Brothers of Concord, Ontario bought National Yo-Yo Limited in the 1980s. The venerable National Yo-Yo Limited horizontal string pack design was replaced with a Parker Brothers-branded vertical string pack. However, the instructions on the back of this pack design remained the same as on its three other "string pack ancestors."
Despite being a fairly modern string pack, this design is rather hard to find compared to some National Yo-Yo string packs.
Also notice that the price is not printed. Printed prices on "open envelope" string packs began to disappear in the late 1970s and remains that way today. Only the number of strings inside a pack is printed.
Surface texture of the paper used for the pack is like lizard skin; pebbled and slightly bumpy. | |
